Today I learned that even a leisurely pace bike ride along the waterfront can add up. I wish Toronto had better bike infrastructure and more trails.

Sad to say but leaving my dog at home made the run more enjoyable. I need
to find a way to motivate her to run next to me off-leash. Last time I
tried it she just stood there, as if to say “I know your route takes you
back past here, I’ll just chill and wait for you.”

I’ve been super lay this weekend, and let’s not even talk about the huge container of ice cream I polished off yesterday.

Still, it shouldn’t be hard to run a bit faster or a bit further. Part of the problem is my dog, she just won’t move any faster so I literally have to drag her down the path if I wanted to pick up the pace. I think I have to start leaving her at home some days, which sucks since its great exercise for her.

Yoga for the Splits

Print this out and practice these poses everyday to gain flexibility for the splits. Start by holding each pose for 30 seconds on each side. Work your way up to 1-3 minutes as your muscles start to open up. When you’re ready to try the splits use a block or pillow under your front leg for support until you feel ready to go without.

I’ve never broken 400 calories on a run before. Sadly that only deals with half the mountain of ice cream and hot fudge I had for breakfast. :(

Running interval sprints tomorrow morning. Shorter overall running time means I can sleep in until 6am. Luxury!!!

Cutting down on food intake to make rum fit into daily calories. That can’t be a good sign. :(

Found a free iPhone app called Charity Miles that donates to the charity you choose for every mile you walk, run or bike.

Please try it out and reblog this. Imagine the difference the while Fitblr community could make!
